Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine

Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine

For some reason, during my teenage years, I always got presents that involved either rubber duckies or smiley faces, or both, for my birthday. So by the time I’d turned 18, I had quite the collection…

Rubber Ducky, you’re the one…

And the solitary ducky in the picture, luxuriating in the New Mexican Sun? Definitely mine ;)

PS: In German, a rubber duck is called Quietscheentchen [ˈkviːʧəˈɛntçn̩], a squeaking duckling, and Ernie sings like this:

But some of them are quite old now, because people stopped giving me rubber duckies once I had come of age (=20) ;) I don’t know, must have been some kind of trend or something…

Ok, i believe you….. The fact that you kept all of them, even the old ones, says that they mean something to you! Who would throw ducklings in the trush anyway?

Exactly…I just couldn’t bear to see those shiny poor ducklings in the garbage..so I simply left them at home when I left home ;)
I wonder how many pandora boxes you have?
